Strong8K IPTV on Samsung and LG Smart TV: Setup Guide Without a Box

You do not need a Firestick or an Android box to watch Strong8K IPTV. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) Smart TVs can run an IPTV player natively, so the full 23,000+ channel list opens straight from the TV’s own app menu. This guide covers the three apps that work best, how to load your Strong8K login on each, and the settings that make the difference between a smooth guide and a laggy one.

Which app to use on a Samsung or LG TV

• IBO Player / IBO Pro – our first recommendation in 2026. Available in both the Samsung and LG app stores, supports Xtream Codes login directly on the TV, fast channel switching and a good EPG. Small one-time activation fee paid to the app developer.
• Smart IPTV (SIPTV) – the long-standing classic. Works with an M3U playlist you upload through the developer’s website using your TV’s MAC address. Also a small one-time activation fee.
• IPTV Smarters Pro – available on newer Samsung and LG models. Free, Xtream login, familiar layout if you also use it on a phone.

All three open the same Strong8K content. If your TV is older than 2018, Smart IPTV is the safest bet; on anything newer, IBO Player is the smoothest.

Method 1: IBO Player (Xtream login on the TV)

1. Open the app store on your TV (Samsung Apps or LG Content Store), search IBO Player and install it.
2. Open the app. It shows a MAC address and a device key on screen. Write both down.
3. On a phone or computer, go to the IBO Player activation site, enter the MAC and key, and add a playlist. Choose Xtream Codes, then enter the Strong8K IPTV username, password and server URL we sent you.
4. Back on the TV, press Reload. The channel list, VOD and EPG load in about a minute.

Method 2: Smart IPTV (M3U upload)

1. Install Smart IPTV from the TV’s app store and open it. Note the MAC address shown on screen.
2. On siptv.app (the developer’s site), open the Upload playlist page, enter the MAC address, paste your Strong8K M3U link (we send it with your login, or ask support), tick Keep online and send.
3. Restart the app on the TV. Channels load in groups; the EPG comes from the link automatically.

Tip: the free trial of Smart IPTV is seven days; after that a small one-time activation to the app developer is needed. It is not part of your Strong8K subscription.

Method 3: IPTV Smarters Pro

Install it from the app store, choose Login with Xtream Codes API, enter your Strong8K details and press Add User. That is the whole process.

Settings that fix most Smart TV problems

• Blank or wrong guide: reload the playlist in the app once; if programme times are shifted, set the EPG time offset to your time zone.
• Stutter on 4K channels: connect the TV with an Ethernet cable. Smart TV Wi-Fi radios are weaker than a Firestick’s and a 4K stream needs about 25 Mbps sustained.
• Audio out of sync: in the player settings switch the decoder (native ↔ software) and reopen the channel.
• App crashes on open: clear the app data from the TV settings, or on Samsung run a cold restart by holding the power button for ten seconds.

Do I still need a box?

Only if you want a nicer interface like TiviMate, which is Android-only. For most families a Smart TV app is enough, and it keeps the TV remote as the only remote. Does Strong8K IPTV work on every Samsung and LG model?

Samsung Tizen TVs from 2016 and LG webOS TVs from 2016 onwards run at least one of the three apps above. Older models can use a Firestick or Android box instead.

Is the app activation fee part of my subscription?
